About Pilates with Nicole:

I've been taking Nicole LaBonde's Monday night Pilates class for the past several years. I rarely miss a class. It's on a Monday night at 8pm - not the easiest time to get out of the house - but very much worth the effort.  I always leave the class feeling energized, stretched, exercised and generally good about myself. Nicole is a fantastic teacher. The atmosphere in the class is fun and friendly with a strong sense of camaraderie, but the class itself is intensive and Nicole is highly professional - very firm about making sure we're doing things correctly, holding us to the same high standards that she holds herself. The depth of her knowledge about Pilates, muscles, the workings of the body in general is incredible. She's a disciple of Mr. Pilates in the best sense. You know you're in expert hands because she has trained so thoroughly, and she truly understands how to teach Pilates as it was intended to be taught. And I personally am a convert. I have been exercising regularly for about the last 5-6 years, incorporating more and more Pilates, so that I can do a full Pilates mat session with little or no break. Pushed to do just a little bit more each week, Nicole has improved my level of fitness, beyond my expectations. My waist is inches thinner, my resting heart rate has gone from 79 bpm to 66 bpm and I haven’t “thrown my back out” in years. Pushing 60 years old, I carry bags of heavy groceries with ease and no longer complain about lifting my cast iron Dutch oven. My gait is straighter and my posture is better. With Nicole’s close supervision and regular classes, I have been able to stick to a routine that has provided dramatic results with a reasonable time commitment.-- D.L.
